New Classes

Check out my website for the new class listings. http://www.thepinecityscrapbookingco.com/ We have a great one coming up in March, two in May, and at least one in June.

Friday night crops are in full swing. If you have a date in mind give us a call ASAP as we are filling fast. Crops are from 5:00 until midnight every Friday if we have interested people. 320-629-9960.

If any of you are interested in doing a monthly book club with me let me know via email. I love the Pinecone Press book club and would love to offer it in my store. You only have to commit to 6 months at $35.00 a month and each month you will be guaranteed to finish a project! I'll be giving you more details soon.

One more idea to toss out there. I'm seriously thinking of doing a cricut cartridge rental. This way you can use many fonts without the huge cost. Something for you to think about. More details to follow.

Wow, what a day!

The last 36 hours have been a rough one for this family! First off, Ella got sick, and I mean sick. My poor mother went home covered in vomit. All I can say is better her than me! I'm a bit of a germaphob so I've been disinfecting everything. Telling Lauren and Ron not to touch their eyes or nose so they don't get sick. I got home yesterday and picked up Ella and gave her a big squeeze, she looked at me and sneezed right in my eye, what are the odds! Nothing like 10,000 germs directly to the 'ol eyeball!
Ron and I stayed up late last night. I was ordering more cool new stuff and Ron was up at the store moving gondolas for me. I was dead asleep and about 3:00 a.m. the phone rang. I grabbed it and it was Savannah crying hysterically she had rolled her car! Come to find out she was only 2 miles from the house! She had just left her babysitting job and was going home to Mora when she hit a bad spot in the road and rolled her car into the ditch. She thought she was fine but all her stuff was scattered all over the road. And if any of you know Savannah, she doesn't travel light! She couldn't use her cell phone to call because it had been tossed about and she couldn't find it. She had to go to a neighbors house to call us. The poor neighbor, Savannah was screaming and crying, they shut the door on her to begin with. It didn't help that they couldn't speak English. I called 911 for her. The dispatcher asked what kind of car she had, I couldn't remember. He asked where exactly she was, and I didn't know exactly. He asked what her cell number was, and I didn't know that either. He said to me: "So what you're telling me is that your Daughter is in the ditch and you don't know where she is, or what she is driving and you don't know her cell number." Hey buddy, give me a break, it's 3:00 in the morning, I'm a little dazed and confused. All ended well. Ron jumped in the van and was there in a matter of minutes. The cops weren't far behind and the next neighbor down is a Braham fireman. They all took really good care of her and calmed her down. After that we were off to the ER to make sure she had no broken bones. But, like I said, she is fine. She has bumps and bruises and her car is all banged up, but she is alive and grateful. While in the middle of all of this all Savannah could think of is that the last time she talked to me she didn't tell me she loved me because she was mad at me. The moral of the story is always hug and say I love you and slow down!
P.S. I couldn't resist taking a picture of Savannah in the ER. She was so mad at me for taking the picture. I told her that if she was going to be okay we would be able to look back at this one day and laugh. Look for the layout soon at the store!

Flower Soft

You'll never guess what came in today. Flower Soft! It is fresh from across the pond (you have to say that with the accent!). I don't have it checked in yet because I'm a little thrown off by the exchange rate. But by Tuesday it should be ready to go! I know you guys are really going to love this!

New Products In From CHA

Wow, some of the new products from CHA almost beat me home! I checked in the new Thomas Kincade stamps today. They are just fantastic! From that same company I ordered a few great background stamps too.

I don't think I told you guys that while breezing through the show one booth made me stop in my tracks. I was booking along with Rhonda when I was stopped right in my tracks by CARDINAL paper! It is so beautiful. I smiled and said to myself Hi Dad, glad you could come with me! My Dad hated to travel. Since he has passed I've had strange signs every time we go away. It always makes me smile.

Stop in and see my new acrylic mini book! I made a super quick mini book with the page frame acrylics.

You must check out the card class that Vikki Erickson will be teaching the 3rd Sunday in March. They are soooo cute! The class is 6 cards for $6.00 You can come anytime between Noon and 4:00 to make them. You will need a basic tool kit with adhesive and pop dots. Call or stop in for details. I'll be sending out an email too.

Friday night crops are in full swing. Make sure you call ahead and reserve your spot!

Not much activity to see in the retreat area these past two weeks. The electricians and the sprinkler guys have been busy. I guess Pat has been sick. I talked to his wife the other day. She told me she was going to buy cold medicine for him and whiskey for herself! You know how men are. I think I'll call her tomorrow and see if she is okay! Tee Hee!

We're Home!

Oh how I love to come home! We had a great time, the girls were fantastic, but it feels good to be home. I missed real tv, and at a reasonable time! (That two hour time change was too much for me. News should not come on at 11:00 p.m.) I missed DVR! I missed water! I missed my house! I missed getting mail! I missed my Savannah! I missed my Mom! I missed Marge! I missed My Linda! I missed my phone ringing every 5 minutes! I even missed Pat the builder guy calling to see how I wanted something and then telling me I had to do it his way anyway! I missed all my friends at the store! I missed scrapbooking!
I'm home!

This Is Us Crazy

Here we are playing around in the fun house mirrors! We'll be home soon. Tomorrow we are finishing up the parks. Saturday we'll be up at 3:30 a.m. to catch our flight home. It will be so good to be home and sleep in my own bed. I miss my Savannah, my Mom, Marge, Linda, and all my friends at the store!!!! A week is a long time to be away. I love to go on vacation, but I really LOVE to go home!

Ron Loves To Put My Girls In Danger!

Only my husband would stick my little Ella up in that R and take a picture of her! I had Lauren safely tucked in the O when Ron walked over and said: "I stuck Ella up in the R and took her picture!" Like he was proud of himself! "You did what?" I said. I had a few other choice words that I should not mention here and walked away. I walk on the safe side, my husband throws caution to the wind. Maybe I should take his approch once in a while.

This Is Me Freaked Out!

I always say that Lauren is afraid of everything, including thread. Well, guess where she gets it from? Her mother! While at the California Adventure Park we were at this Brother Bear thing where you could climb around and go to look out over the forest. We were having a grand time until we came across this net bridge. Did I ever tell you I was afraid of, oh, EVERYTHING! But hey I had to be a big girl and show my girls I wasn't afraid. I did everything I could not to throw up! I made it across the net bridge, then the next, and the next and the next! Then I had had it and took the stairs down. I had enough!

More Tattered Angels

I ordered the new Glimmer Mist colors as well as the chipboard and glimmer screens. I couldn't resist and I ordered a class kit as well. I'll post the kit as soon as I get it so you can sign up. I only have 11 of them so you'll have to sign up quick. I know you are going to love it as much as I do!

Just Wait...

Just wait until you see the new Flower Soft! I love this idea, and hope you do too!!! The idea is to enhance your image with teeny tiny flowers! You can use this on scrapbook pages or cards. It is just too beautiful to explain just wait until you see it!

New Stamps

I ordered from this great new stamp company. They have Thomas Kinkade stamps. They are just so beautiful! I also ordered Copic markers. They are refillable markers that have the best shades and are great for blending. You can use them with your stamping, scrapbooking, color your ribbon, and they write on slick surfaces!

New Line Graphic 45

I was drawn into this booth by all the beautiful decorations. But it turned out the the paper was just as beautiful! I couldn't decide what to order so I just ordered the entire line!

Here Is Where I Found My Family

Here is where I find my family after I return from the show! The girls have turned into fish!

Glue Dots In A Dispenser

Yes, Glue Dots are now going to come in a dispenser! I tried it and it worked! They won't be coming out until the spring, buy rest assured I'll be carrying them!

I Love This Italian Line

I've orderd from this company before. I love the cow paper. I ordered everything in this photo!

This Is A Great New Stamp Line!

This booth was so beautiful! It was so beautiful I'm going to bring in these new stamps! I'm distracted by the booths really! I'm the same way with packaging! This guy had the greatest idea. Why don't we enlarge our cards and use them as art?! He had these two prints hanging up and showed me how they were just cards. He took them to Kinkos and had them copied and enlarged. I LOVE this idea!

I Was Talking To My Friend Tim Yesterday! (tee-hee)

No, I really was! I was being a stalkeratzie! He was doing a demo and was being Tim. He asked me if I was enjoying the show and wondered what I liked. Of course I told him I had been at this really rockin' booth and made an awesome bracelet with a little something called Grunge Board. He laughed and told me how he had 6 months to buy for the booth and had 30 minuets to set it up! Yeah me and Tim are tight!

Oh My I Love His Work

Heidi Swapp

Heidi Swapp came out with 12x12 papers, and I even like them. Sorry about the sideways pictures! I had Ron rotating the photos and he missed a couple! I forgive him.

7 Gypsies

I love the new products from 7 gypsies. they came out with larger carousels for 4x6 photos and for acrylic stamps! Blue was really big this year in papers! Guess I'll finally be scrapbooking with blue!

I'd show you the next

I'd show you 7gypsies, but blogger is having issues so I'll save it for tomorrow.
Goodnight!
